栃木県那須町の「那須どうぶつ王国」で今週の土曜日から一般公開が始まるのは、4月27日に生まれた「スナネコ」の雌の赤ちゃんです。
The "Nasu Animal Kingdom" in Nasu town, Tochigi prefecture will open and public a female cat of the "sand cat" born on April 27.
スナネコはアフリカなどの砂漠に生息する世界最小級のネコで、その愛らしい容姿から砂漠の天使といわれています。

国内の動物園では去年の秋から那須どうぶつ王国と「神戸どうぶつ王国」が飼育を始め、今回、初めて赤ちゃんが生まれました。

生まれた時の体重はわずか59グラムでしたが、飼育員がミルクなどを与え、現在は530グラムまで成長しました。

那須どうぶつ王国では赤ちゃんの公開に合わせて名前を募集することにしています。
