年齢確認が必要な酒やたばこのセルフレジでの販売について店舗向けのガイドラインが公表されたことを受けて、河野デジタル大臣が実際の店舗で購入体験をしました。
Following the release of guidelines for stores regarding the sale of alcohol and cigarettes at self-checkout counters that require age verification, Digital Minister Kono experienced the purchase at an actual store.
セルフレジを活用した酒やたばこの販売では、マイナンバーカードや運転免許証を読み取り機に通して年齢確認を行います。　
When selling alcohol and cigarettes using the self-checkout system, the customer's age is verified by passing a My Number card or driver's license through the reader. 　
コンビニエンスストアでは人手不足に対応するためセルフレジの導入が進んでいますが、年齢確認はこれまで店員のいるレジで行ってきました。　
Convenience stores actively use self-checkout systems to deal with labor shortages, but so far age verification has been done at the checkout counter by store employees.
