炎天下で練習に励むことの多い高校球児がUVケア、紫外線対策を学びました。　
High school rugby players, who regularly train in the hot sun, have learned how to care for and protect their skin from UV rays.

講座は高校野球の強豪校、茨城県の常総学院で開かれ、野球部員約100人が参加しました。　
The course was held at Joso Gakuin High School in Ibaraki Prefecture, a strong high school baseball team, and was attended by about 100 members of the baseball team.
紫外線が肌に与えるダメージについて学んだ後、日焼け止めを塗る体験をしました。
After learning about the damage that UV rays can do to the skin, they experimented with applying sunscreen.
「将来のためにちゃんと肌を守っていきたいなと思いました」

「疲労に関係してくるという話も聞いて、パフォーマンスを落とさないためにも日焼け止めを塗ろうとは思いました」

講座に協力した大手化粧品メーカーによりますと、紫外線は肌の老化を早める原因になるほか、免疫力を低下させ、18歳以下は特に影響を受けやすいという研究結果もあるということです。
According to a major cosmetics manufacturer that cooperated with the course, research has shown that UV rays cause premature aging of the skin and also weaken the immune system, and that people under 18 years of age are particularly susceptible.
