NTTは半導体チップの信号処理を光で行う電力の消費を抑えた新たな技術について2025年度にも生産を始める考えです。　
NTT plans to start manufacturing in 2025 a new technology that reduces power consumption by using light to process signals on a semiconductor chip.
半導体チップの信号処理は従来、電気で行っていましたが消費電力が高いため、NTTの子会社が光を使った新たな技術「光電融合デバイス」の開発を進めています。　
Normally, signal processing in semiconductor chips is done electrically, but due to high power consumption, an NTT subsidiary is developing a new technology that uses light, the “optoelectronic converging device”.
従来に比べ、最大13倍ほどの電力効率が期待されています。　
It is expected to save 13 times more energy than conventional technology.
2025年度にも生産を始め、販売まで一貫して手掛け、早期に1000億円の売り上げを達成したい考えです。　
The company will start production in fiscal year 2025 and hopes to reach 100 billion yen in revenue as soon as possible by handling the entire process from sales to marketing.
