韓国大統領府は、ローマ教皇が「招待されれば喜んで北朝鮮を訪問する」との意志を文在寅大統領に示したと発表しました。
The office of the President of South Korea has announced that the Pope has expressed to President Moon Jae-in that he would be happy to visit North Korea if invited.

President Moon, who is visiting Europe, met Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church at the Vatican on the 29th.
韓国大統領府によりますと、文大統領から「平和への弾みになる」と北朝鮮への訪問を提案されたローマ教皇は、「招待状が来れば喜んで行く」と応じたということです。　
According to the South Korean presidential office, the Pope, who was asked by President Moon to visit North Korea as "an impetus for peace", replied: "I would be happy to receive an invitation."
2人の会談は今回が2度目で、3年前の前回も同じようなやり取りが交わされたものの、実現には至りませんでした。　
This was the second meeting between the two, and although similar exchanges had been made three years ago on the previous one, it did not materialize.
任期残り半年を切った文大統領としては南北関係改善への突破口にしたい考えですが、北朝鮮が応じるかは不明です。
President Moon, who has less than half a year left in office, wants to make a breakthrough in improving North-South relations, but it is unclear if North Korea will reciprocate.
