物流業界の人手不足対策が課題となるなか、コンビニ大手のセブンーイレブンが、ロボットによる商品配送の実証実験を公開しました。
実験は、商品をスマホで注文すると、指定の場所まで届けてくれるサービスを活用して行われています。
この日は2台のロボットが、エレベーターを使いながら、パンやコーヒーなどを注文した客の元へと運びました。
揚げ物やアイスクリームなどにも対応できるということです。
セブンーイレブンは、実証実験を進めながら、オフィスや病院、大学構内などでのロボット配送の展開を検討するとしています。
ネット通販の拡大などで、宅配需要が高まる一方、来年4月に、トラックドライバーの時間外労働に上限が課される物流の「2024年問題」が迫っていて、ロボット配送による、人手不足対策の実証が幅広く進められています。
