働いている人の生活調査が公表され、睡眠時間が5時間以下で睡眠不足とされる人がこの25年間でほぼ半分に減ったことが明らかになりました。　
A survey into the lives of working people has been published and shows that the number of people considered sleep deprived, getting less than five hours of sleep, has almost halved in the past 25 years.
シチズン時計は、20代から50代の働く男女400人を対象に生活時間についての調査を行いました。　
Citizen Watch conducted a lifestyle survey of 400 working men and women between the ages of 20 and 50.
政府が成人に6時間以上の睡眠時間を推奨するなか、平日の睡眠時間は6時間が最も多く36.3％で、次いで7時間が36.0％でした。　
While the government recommends adults get at least 6 hours of sleep, 6 hours is the most common sleep time on weekdays at 36.3%, followed by 7 hours at 36.0%. .
5時間以下は11.5％ですが、1999年の22.8％に比べて割合がほぼ半分に減りました。　
11.5% spent less than 5 hours sleeping, almost half the 22.8% in 1999.
長時間労働の是正やテレワークなど多様で柔軟な働き方が広がったことで、十分な睡眠時間を取れる人が増えたと分析しています。　
The analysis shows that the number of people able to get enough sleep has increased due to the spread of diverse and flexible work styles, such as the accommodation of long working hours and the popularity of informal working from far away.
ただ、OECDの調査では日本人の睡眠時間は加盟33カ国で最も短いというデータもあります。
However, an OECD survey found that Japanese people's sleep time is the least among the 33 member countries.
