ニュージーランド政府は、国民の喫煙率を減らすため、現在の若者を対象にたばこの購入を一生、禁止する法律を来年末までに制定したいと表明しました。　
The New Zealand government announced that they wanted to introduce a lifetime tobacco purchase ban for today's youth to reduce smoking rates by the end of next year.
地元メディアによりますと、ニュージーランドの喫煙率は、ここ数年で徐々に減ってきていますが、先住民のマオリ族は今も20％を超える高い水準で改善が求められています。　
According to local media, smoking rates in New Zealand have been declining steadily over the past few years, but indigenous Maori are still required to improve at a high above 20%.
こうしたなか、ニュージーランドのバーラル副保健相は9日、現在の若者を対象に一生、たばこの購入を禁止する法律を来年末までに制定したいと述べました。　
Faced with that situation, on the 9th, New Zealand's Deputy Health Minister Bharal said that it would enact a law banning the purchase of cigarettes for life for current youth by the end of next year.
対象となるのは、法律が施行された時点で14歳以下の人たちです。
