ツイッターを運営するイーロン・マスクCEOはツイッターに音声やビデオ通話などの新しい機能を追加する方針を明らかにしました。

マスク氏は10日、自身のツイッターで近くツイッター上で音声やビデオを使った通話ができるようになると述べました。　
On 10, Musk said on his Twitter page that users will soon be able to make voice and video calls on Twitter.
「電話番号を教えなくても世界中の人々と話ができるようになる。人々は対話し、批判し、発言に反論することができる」などと強調しています。　
He emphasized, “People will be able to talk to people all over the world without having to give out their phone numbers. People will be able to dialogue, criticize, and refute statements, etc”.
更にツイッターアプリの最新バージョンでは投稿に対し、現在の「リプライ」という返信機能だけではなく、投稿者と直接やり取りできる「ダイレクトメッセージ」で返信したり、絵文字でリアクションすることが新たに可能になるとしています。

また、ダイレクトメッセージを暗号化して他人には見られない形にする機能も11日には追加されるということです。
