The wild boar and the fox
イノシシが木のそばに座って、せっせとキバを研いでいました。
There was a wild boar sitting by a tree and was sharpening his laniary.
それを見たキツネが、不思議そうに尋ねました。
The fox looked curiously at him and asked:
猟師に追いかけられているわけでも、危険なわけでもないのに、どうしてキバを研いでいるのですか？
"You are not been chasing by hunters nor being in danger. Why are you sharpening your laniary?"
確かに、今は危険ではないので、キバを研がなくても大丈夫
"Certainly, it's not dangerous now, so it's OK if you don't sharpen your laniary
しかし、危険な事が襲いかかって来た時には、キバを研いでいるひまはないだろう。
However, when danger comes, there will be no enough time to sharpen it.
めんどうでも、こうしてキバを研いでおけば、今すぐに危険が来ても、大丈夫なんだよ
So if you keep sharpening it now, it will be fine even if the danger comes immediately."
