On the 28th, Americas Apple surpassed a market capitalization of $4 trillion about 609 trillion yen for the first time, becoming the third company in history to reach this milestone, following Americas Microsoft and Nvidia.

The factor behind this achievement is that the companys stock price rose significantly after it announced its latest product, the iPhone 17.

During trading on the U.S. stock market on the morning of the 29th, Apples stock price rose 0.4% from the previous day, and its market capitalization exceeded $4 trillion.

On the other hand, Microsoft, which reached this level for the first time in July, also rose by 2% at one point, bringing its market capitalization to about $4.04 trillion approximately 615 trillion yen.

Currently, in the global market capitalization rankings, Nvidia holds the top spot at approximately $4.6 trillion about 699 trillion yen, while Apple is ranked third, following Microsoft.

Next are America’s Alphabet $3.2 trillion, Amazon $2.4 trillion, and Broadcom $1.7 trillion.

Nvidias stock price has seen an astonishing rise of about 35,000% over the past decade due to the growing demand for AI technology, and in July 2024, its market capitalization surpassed $4 trillion.

Apple has increased its stock price by more than 15% since announcing new products such as the iPhone 17, iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro in September.

According to a Bloomberg report, sales of the iPhone 17 series in the first 10 days after its release in the United States and China were 14% higher than those of the previous model, the iPhone 16 series.

Additionally, Apple is scheduled to announce its financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025 July to September on the 30th the 31st in Japan time. According to U.S. market research firm FactSet, Wall Street predicts earnings per share of $1.78 and revenue of $102.1 billion about 16 trillion yen, driven by strong iPhone sales.

Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush Securities in the United States, pointed out that although Apple is lagging behind other companies in the field of AI, breaking through the $4 trillion market capitalization mark this time is an extremely important turning point for the company headquartered in Cupertino, California, and is evidence that it possesses world-class consumer brand power.
