The Trump administration in the United States has decided to completely suspend the exemption of tariffs on low-value imports, and starting from the 29th of this month, tariffs and other duties will be imposed depending on the item.
アメリカでは輸入品の金額が800ドル以下の場合、関税を免除し簡易的に輸入できる「デミニミス・ルール」と呼ばれる措置がありますが、トランプ大統領は先月30日、この措置を全面的に停止する大統領令に署名しました。
In the United States, there is a measure called the de minimis rule, which allows for duty-free and simplified import procedures for goods valued at $800 or less. However, on the 30th of last month, President Trump signed an executive order to completely suspend this measure.
今月29日から少額の輸入品についても品目に応じた通常の関税などを課すとしています。
Starting on the 29th of this month, regular customs duties and other applicable taxes will be imposed on small-value imported goods according to their respective categories.
ことし5月以降、中国本土と香港からの輸入品については措置の適用をすでにとりやめていて、この対象をすべての国や地域に拡大することになります。
