宵祭が
2日夜、
愛知県蟹江町で
行われ、
担い
手不足を
背景に、ことし
初めて
女性が
参加しました。
The Yoimatsuri of the Sunari Festival, which has been passed down among men for 400 years, was held on the night of the 2nd in Kanie Town, Aichi Prefecture, and for the first time this year, women participated due to a shortage of participants.
「須成祭」は、蟹江町の須成地区にある神社に豊作や無病息災を祈願する祭りで、ユネスコの無形文化遺産にも登録されています。
The Sunari Festival is a festival held at a shrine in the Sunari district of Kanie Town to pray for a good harvest and good health, and it is also registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
2日行われた宵祭では、まず「稚児」や「笛吹」と呼ばれる6人の子どもと大人2人が、地区の公民館に置かれたご神体の前でお囃子を演奏しました。
At the eve festival held on the 2nd, six children called chigo and fuefuki and two adults first performed festival music in front of the sacred object placed at the community center of the district.
この後、「巻藁船」と呼ばれるおよそ200個のちょうちんを飾りつけた船に女性7人も乗り込み、笛や太鼓を鳴らしながら地区を流れる川をのぼり、幻想的な雰囲気を作り出していました。
After that, seven women boarded a boat called the Makiwara-bune, which was decorated with about 200 lanterns. As they played flutes and drums, they went up the river flowing through the area, creating a magical atmosphere.
400年前から受け継がれているこの祭は、去年まで男性だけで行われてきましたが、高齢化や参加する若者の減少などを理由に、ことし初めて女性にも参加を呼びかけることになりました。
This festival, which has been passed down for 400 years, had been conducted only by men until last year. However, due to reasons such as an aging population and a decrease in young participants, women have been invited to participate for the first time this year.
娘と祭りに参加した母親は「この地区でこれからも住み続けると思うので、一緒に力を合わせて祭りを盛り上げていきたい」と話していました。
The mother who participated in the festival with her daughter said, I think well continue living in this area, so I want to work together with everyone to make the festival more exciting.
須成文化財保護委員会の委員長 馬場恒幸さんは「参加者が減少する中で、今回女性の力を貸してもらった。
Chairman of the Sunari Cultural Property Protection Committee, Mr. Tsunehiko Baba, said, With the number of participants decreasing, this time we received help from women.
これからも
祭りを
続けていきたい」と
話していました。
I want to keep holding the festival from now on, they said.
