According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, warm and moist air is flowing toward the front, causing extremely unstable atmospheric conditions, especially in western Japan.

In Fukuoka Prefecture, it is believed that extremely heavy rain of 110 to 120 millimeters per hour fell from late at night on the 9th to the early hours of the 10th, and a linear rainband also formed.
