警察は、
13日朝から、
この会社の
社長の
自宅などを
捜索しています。
The police are searching the home of the president of a construction company in Osaka City from the morning of the 13th, on suspicion that the company, which was contracted to build the Angola Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, did not obtain the necessary permits from the national government or Osaka Prefecture as required by the Construction Business Act.
捜索を受けているのは、大阪鶴見区にある建設会社「一六八建設」です。
The company being searched is 168 Construction, a construction company located in Tsurumi Ward, Osaka.
捜査関係者によりますと、この会社は、500万円以上の内装工事などを請け負う業者に必要な、国や大阪府からの営業の許可を受けていなかった建設業法違反の疑いがあるということです。
According to investigative sources, the company is suspected of violating the Construction Business Act, as it did not obtain the necessary business permits from the national government or Osaka Prefecture required for contractors undertaking interior construction work and other projects exceeding 5 million yen.
会社は、大阪・関西万博のアンゴラパビリオンの内装工事などをおよそ1億2000万円で請け負っていました。
The company had contracted for interior construction of the Angola Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo for approximately 120 million yen.
大阪府の調査でも、無許可で工事を請け負っていたことが確認されたとして、府は、9月4日までの30日間、営業停止の処分にしています。
According to an investigation by Osaka Prefecture, it was confirmed that construction work had been undertaken without permission, so the prefecture has suspended business operations for 30 days until September 4.
警察は、社長の自宅など数か所を捜索し、関係する資料を押収するなどして詳しい経緯を調べることにしています。
The police plan to search several locations, including the company presidents home, seize related materials, and investigate the details of the case.
これまでのNHKの取材に、社長は「許可を申請中で、手続き中であれば工事を請け負えると考えていた」と説明していました。
In previous interviews with NHK, the company president explained, We believed that as long as we were in the process of applying for permission and undergoing the procedures, we could take on the construction work.
この会社をめぐっては、アンゴラパビリオンの内装工事の代金が未払いだと下請け業者が訴え、府は、ことし6月、未払いが確認されたとして、必要な措置をとるよう法律に基づく勧告を行っています。
Regarding this company, a subcontractor has filed a complaint claiming that payment for the interior construction of the Angola Pavilion has not been made. In June this year, the prefectural government confirmed the non-payment and issued a legal recommendation for the necessary measures to be taken.
