皆既月食」が、
8日未明、
およそ3年ぶりに
日本で
観測されました。
The total lunar eclipse, during which the full moon is covered by the Earths shadow and glows a reddish-black, was observed in Japan in the early hours of the 8th for the first time in about three years.
「皆既月食」は、太陽と地球と月が一直線に並び、満月が地球の影に完全に覆われる現象です。
A total lunar eclipse is a phenomenon in which the sun, the earth, and the moon align in a straight line, and the full moon is completely covered by the earths shadow.
国立天文台によりますと、8日午前1時27分ごろから南西の空にある月が欠け始め、午前2時30分ごろ、月全体が地球の影に入り皆既月食の状態となりました。
According to the National Astronomical Observatory, the moon began to be eclipsed in the southwestern sky at around 1:27 a.m. on the 8th, and by around 2:30 a.m., the entire moon had entered the Earths shadow, resulting in a total lunar eclipse.
日本で皆既月食が観測されたのは、2022年11月以来、およそ3年ぶりです。
The last time a total lunar eclipse was observed in Japan was about three years ago, in November 2022.
東京・渋谷の「渋谷スクランブルスクエア」の屋上にある展望施設では、晴れて星空が広がるなか、午前0時半から観測イベントが行われ、およそ140人が参加しました。
At the observation facility on the rooftop of Shibuya Scramble Square in Shibuya, Tokyo, an observation event was held from 12:30 a.m. under clear, star-filled skies, with about 140 people participating.
満月が徐々に欠けていき、皆既月食の状態になると「赤銅色」と呼ばれる独特の赤黒い色に輝く様子が観測され、参加した人たちは望遠鏡や双眼鏡をのぞいたり、写真を撮ったりして、天体ショーを楽しんでいました。
The full moon gradually waned, and when it reached the state of a total lunar eclipse, it shone with a unique reddish-black color known as copper red. People who participated enjoyed the celestial show by looking through telescopes and binoculars or taking photos.
20代の男性は「月が欠けきった所でやっと赤くなるという移り変わりが面白かったです。
A man in his twenties said, I found it interesting how the moon only turned red after it was completely eclipsed.

国立天文台によりますと、次に日本で見られるのは、来年の3月3日、ひな祭りの夜だということです。
According to the National Astronomical Observatory, the next time it can be seen in Japan will be on the night of March 3rd next year, which is the night of the Hinamatsuri Doll Festival.
