長野と岐阜の県境にある御嶽山では、11年前の2014年9月27日に噴火が発生し、58人が死亡、5人が行方不明となりました。

噴火で亡くなった人たちの遺族などでつくる「山びこの会」のメンバー5人は、7日朝、御嶽山の5合目のロープウエー乗り場の前で、登山者に手作りのキーホルダーを渡して、火山活動に関する情報収集やヘルメットの着用など、安全な登山のための対策を呼びかけました。
Five members of the Yamabiko Association, which is made up of bereaved families of those who died in the eruption, handed out handmade keychains to climbers in front of the ropeway station at the fifth station of Mt. Ontake on the morning of the 7th, and called for measures for safe climbing, such as gathering information on volcanic activity and wearing helmets.
「山びこの会」は、4年前の2021年から、毎年この時期に啓発活動を行っていて、噴火から11年となる9月27日にも、御嶽山の登山口で呼びかけを行うことにしています。

噴火で義理の弟を亡くした「山びこの会」の事務局代表、シャーロック英子さんは「噴火災害の風化を防ぐために役に立てばいいという思いで、こうした活動を続けています。
