One night, a monk was walking along the road and asked if he could stay at that house for the night.

My husband thought, Lets sleep and wait until happiness comes, and so he kept sleeping for three whole years.

However, nothing good happened.

On a night of the full moon, the husband said to his wife, Through the skylight, you can see the Moon Rabbit pounding mochi on the moon.

This story spread throughout the village, and a rumor circulated that those who see the jade rabbit on the moon will be blessed with good fortune.

Many people came to see, and left money or food as a token of their gratitude.

Thanks to that, the couple became wealthy.

Out of their greed for more money, the couple built a bigger house and added even more skylights.

However, from the new skylight, it was no longer possible to see the Jade Rabbit on the moon.

No one came anymore, and the couple became poor again.

At that moment, the monk came again and said, What’s important is not to be greedy, but to work diligently and honestly.

Since then, my husband started working hard again.
