The worlds premier action sports event, the X Games, has opened in Osaka, and in the BMX Park competition, Rim Nakamura, who has competed in two consecutive Olympic Games, claimed his first victory.
アクションスポーツの世界最高峰の大会、「Xゲームズ」は、国内では去年まで3年連続で千葉市で開かれていましたが、ことしは大阪市で初めての開催です。
The X Games, the worlds premier action sports competition, had been held for three consecutive years in Chiba City until last year, but this year it is being held for the first time in Osaka City.
京セラドーム大阪を会場に、3つの競技の12種目に世界各地からおよそ80人のトップ選手が参加します。
About 80 top athletes from around the world will participate in 12 events across 3 sports at Kyocera Dome Osaka.
初日の21日に行われた種目のうち、自転車のBMXパークでは、オリンピックで東京、パリと2大会連続で5位だった23歳の中村選手が4人による決勝に進みました。
