One month after the Noto Peninsula earthquake, volunteer activities have begun
Ishikawa Prefecture has begun sending volunteers to Nanao City, Shiga Town, and Anamizu Town, which were heavily damaged by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

Around 6 a.m. on February 1st, about 50 volunteers departed from Kanazawa Station by bus.
Kazuna Morita, 25, from Saitama Prefecture, helped clean up a damaged house in Anamizu Town.
Morita said, ``When I saw the destroyed buildings and roads, I thought disasters were scary.
I’ll do my best for one more day,” he said.
From the 3rd, volunteer activities are scheduled to begin in Suzu City and Nakanoto Town.
Wajima City hopes to start this early this month.
Since there is no place to stay in the affected town, volunteers travel by bus from Kanazawa every day.
