”Don’t keep luggage from strangers in foreign countries”
There are an increasing number of incidents of illegal substances such as stimulants and cannabis being hidden in luggage and imported.
According to Tokyo Customs, 72 such incidents were found at Haneda and Narita airports last year.
3.6 times more than the year before
Among them, there are a series of incidents in which people who have traveled from Japan to foreign countries become ”couriers” who carry illegal goods without knowing it.
There was a case in which a foreigner asked me to give a souvenir to a Japanese friend, and there was an item that violated the law in the luggage I checked.
