On Ukrainian Twitter, the number of words such as “medicine” and “hospital” has increased.
A group from Tohoku University investigated what words and phrases were most frequently used in Twitter messages written in Ukrainian from November last year to August this year.
A search of more than 98.5 million mans of messages reveals that the phrases ”medicine” and ”hospital admission” increased rapidly after the Russian attack began in February this year.
In particular, ”diabetic medicine” increased 43 times from before the attack began.
”Child birth” and ”baby/infant” has also increased.
The group believes that Ukrainians are worried about their ability to recieve treatment and were looking for a safe place to give birth to their babies.
The Russian attack continued for a long time, and the number of painful words such as ”Despair” increased by about 1.5 times.
The group is concerned that more people’s mental health will be affected.
