The 10 major electric power companies will raise their electricity prices in February next year, and TEPCO will be 330 yen, Chubu Electric Power will be 351 yen, and Kansai Electric Power will be 215 yen higher than January for households with average usage.
For TEPCO and Chubu Electric Power, the price will increase by 1500 yen or more in one year from February this year.
Gas charges will be raised by 200 yen or more at four major companies such as Tokyo Gas and Osaka Gas.
