林外務大臣は、日本に住む一般のロシア人への誹謗（ひぼう）中傷をやめるよう呼び掛けました。　
Foreign Minister Hayashi called for a halt to accusations against Russians in general living in Japan.
「日本に住む一般のロシア人を、ロシア人であるという理由だけで排斥したり、誹謗中傷することは行わないように改めて呼び掛けたい」
"I hope you don't exclude or injure ordinary Russians living in Japan just because they are Russian."
林外務大臣はロシアによるウクライナ侵攻について、「プーチン政権による侵略だと強調したい」と述べ、「日本に居住するロシア国民からも反対の声が上がっている」と指摘しました。　
Regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Foreign Minister Hayashi said, "I want to emphasize that it is an invasion by the Putin administration." and pointed out that “There are also opposing voices from Russians living in Japan”.
そのうえで、日本に住む一般のロシア人やロシア料理店などがSNS上などで嫌がらせを受けていることについて、ロシア人というだけで誹謗中傷などしないよう呼び掛けました。　
Then, about the fact that ordinary Russians and Russian restaurants living in Japan are being harassed on SNS, he urged people to stop making accusations just because they are Russian.
自民党の会議でも「プーチン政権と日本に住むロシア人を同一視してはいけない」として、外務省や法務省に対して対策を求める声が上がっていました。
