「過去126年で最も暑い夏」に続き、9月の全国の平均気温と近海の海面の水温について気象庁は、統計を取り始めてから最も高くなったと明らかにしました。
気象庁によりますと、9月1カ月の日本全体の気温は平年と比べて2.66℃高く、過去126年で最も高くなりました。
特に九州から近畿にかけての西日本と東海から関東甲信にかけての東日本では、記録的な高さとなりました。
月を通して全国的に暖かい空気に覆われやすかったためだとみられています。
また、日本近海の海水温も統計史上1位となりました。
背景には例年に比べて風の弱い日が多かったことや1カ月間に発生した台風の数は2つと統計史上最も少なく、台風の接近によって海面の水温が下げられる効果が限定的だったことが挙げられています。
