国内の多くのデータセンターには高発熱サーバーを冷やす設備がなく、大型のファンで冷却しているのが現状です。

NTTコミュニケーションズは、日本で初めて水を活用したサーバーの冷却技術をデータセンターに導入します。　
NTT Communications will be the first company in Japan to introduce water-based server cooling technology for data centers.
約20℃の水を管に通し、循環させてチップを直接、冷やすことで電力効率を約30％アップできるということです。　
By passing water at a temperature of about 20°C through the tube and circulating the water to directly cool the chip, energy efficiency can be increased by about 30%.
来年の3月をめどに運用を開始する予定です。　
The company plans to start operations in March next year.
世界のデータセンターの年間消費電力は2018年と比較して2050年には約2600倍になるといわれています。
