アメリカの地質調査所によりますと、昨日午後インドネシアの西ジャワ州チアンジュール付近を震源とするマグニチュード5.6の地震があり、国家防災庁によりますと、少なくとも62人が死亡、およそ80人がけがをしました。　
According to the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake occurred yesterday afternoon near Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia, killed at least 62 people and injured about 80 ones, according to the National Disaster Management Agency.
西ジャワ州の知事は昨日夜、162人が死亡したと発表していましたが、国家防災庁は「未確認の情報だ」としています。　
The governor of West Java last night announced that 162 people had died, but the National Disaster Management Agency said this was "unconfirmed information".
この地震では2200棟以上の建物に被害が出ていて、学校の倒壊で死者には多くの子どもたちが含まれているということです。　
More than 2,200 buildings were damaged in the quake, and many children were among those killed when the school collapsed.
崩れた建物の下敷きになった人たちの救助活動は現在も続けられています。
