The Russian President's Office has opposed the European Union's policy of using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, saying this would "bring disastrous consequences".
EUは21日、ベルギーのブリュッセルで首脳会議を開き、凍結しているロシア中央銀行の資産をウクライナへの支援に活用する案について、実現に向けて作業を進める方針で合意しました。

支援に充てるのは凍結資産そのものではなく利子ですが、その額は年間で最大30億ユーロ、日本円でおよそ4900億円が見込まれています。

これに対し、ロシア大統領府のぺスコフ報道官は22日、「資産は所有者のものであり、誰のものでもないとの考えはばかげている」と反発し、
In response, Russian President Spokesperson Peskov replied on the 22nd: “The idea that assets belong to their owners and not to anyone else is ridiculous”
「資産を収奪する行為は銀行、国、ヨーロッパ経済にとって破滅的な結果をもたらす」と述べました。
and said “Asset expropriation has catastrophic consequences for European banks, countries and economies.”
