神奈川県の箱根山を巡り、噴火した際の影響や避難に関する情報を記した「ハザードマップ」が約20年ぶりに見直されることになり、今日、関係自治体などによる協議が行われます。
箱根山の周辺は観光地として有名ですが、山自体は気象庁が24時間体制で監視する活火山です。
今日、関係自治体などが集まる定例の協議会が開かれ、「火山ハザードマップ」の見直しについて話し合いが行われます。
現在のハザードマップが作られたのは20年近く前で、防災関係者らは、その後の火山活動に関する新たな知見も反映するため、今後1年をかけて見直しをしたいとしています。
その後、県と町は将来の噴火などに備えた避難計画の改訂を進める方針です。
