イケア・ジャパンはプラスチックの食器約9万5000点の自主回収を発表しました。
IKEA Japan announced that they would actively recall about 95,000 plastic tablewares.
回収の対象となるのは、おととし6月から今月まで販売されていた「ヘロイスク」と「タルリカ」の2つのシリーズの皿やマグカップなど8品目、約9万5000点です。
About 95,000 tableware sets, including eight items such as plates and cups from the "Heroisuku" and "Tarrika" series that were sold from June of 2 years ago to this month, will be recalled.
トウモロコシなどが原料のプラスチックを使用していて、電子レンジなどで熱が加わると素材が劣化して破損する恐れがあるということです。　
These products use plastic using corn as the raw material, so when used at high temperatures such as in a microwave oven, the material can be deformed and damaged.
海外では使用中に破損し、中に入っていた料理でやけどをしたなど100件を超す破損が報告されましたが、今のところ日本で破損の報告はないということです。
Overseas, more than 100 cases of damage have been reported, including damage during use and burns caused by the food inside, but as of now, there are no reports of damage in Japan.
イケア・ジャパンは直ちに使用を中止してほしいとして、返品を呼び掛けています。
IKEA Japan wants customers to stop using it immediately and is calling for returns.
