富山市では、富山が発祥の軽トラックを使ったあるコンテストが開かれています。

小さな荷台にいかに美しい日本庭園を作るかを競う「軽トラ庭園コンテスト」が11日から開かれています。　
The “Light Truck Gardening Competition” was held from the 11th to compete to see how beautiful a Japanese garden can be created on a small cargo platform.
荷台に滝や池が造られるなど、造園職人らは限られたスペースや積載量のなかでアイデアや技術力を競います。

軽トラ庭園は、庭を作る住宅が減っていくのを悩んでいた富山市の造園組合が庭に興味を持ってもらおうと2011年に始めたもので、今では全国に広がっています。

このコンテストは12日まで開かれ、この2日間の来場者の投票で受賞作品が決まるということです。
