同意を得ずに顧客の非公開情報を共有したなどとして、証券取引等監視委員会が三菱UFJ銀行などに対して行政処分を行うよう金融庁に勧告する方向で検討していることが分かりました。
法律では、銀行とグループ内の証券会社が、顧客の同意を得ずに非公開情報をやり取りすることを制限する、いわゆる「ファイアーウォール規制」が設けられています。
複数の関係者によりますと、三菱UFJ銀行はこの規制に違反して、同意を得ずに顧客の非公開情報を同じグループの三菱UFJモルガン・スタンレー証券などと共有した疑いなどがあるということです。
証券取引等監視委員会は、早ければ来週にも三菱UFJ銀行などに対して行政処分を行うよう、金融庁に勧告するとみられています。
