Camel, elephant and monkey
動物たちが、王さまを決める事になりました。
There were the animals deciding to elect the king.
そこで、ラクダとゾウが立候補しました。
Camel and elephant were nominated.
両方とも体が大きくて力があるので、他の動物よりも王さまになる資格があると思ったのです。
Both of them are big and powerful, so they were thought to be more qualified to become the king rather than other animals.
しかしサルが、ラクダもゾウも駄目だと言いました。
But then the monkey said that neither camel nor elephant could become the king.
「だって、ラクダくんは大人しすぎて、悪い奴に対しても腹を立てないから、国を治める事なんか出来ないだろう。
