ニューヨークの老舗ステーキ店が東京に海外初出店するのにあたり、オーナーの男性が東京店への期待を語りました。　
When a long-established New York steakhouse opened its first overseas store in Tokyo, the man who owned it talked about his expectations for the Tokyo store.
1887年に創業したニューヨークの老舗ステーキハウス「ピーター・ルーガー」は14日、アメリカ国外で初めて東京・恵比寿に出店します。　
Old New York steakhouse "Peter Luger", founded in 1887, will open its first store outside of the US in Ebisu, Tokyo on the 14th.
ANNの取材に応じたオーナー一族の男性は「コロナ禍で人々は友達や家族と集まることを求めている」と東京店への期待を述べました。　
In an interview with ANN, the owner of the family store expressed his expectations for the Tokyo store: "People will want to gather with friends and family due to the impact of corona virus.”
「NY以外に店を出す都市の候補は東京しかなかった。東京は並外れた食の都だからね。恵比寿というのも、ここの立地みたいにちょっと外れていいと思った。六本木でも丸の内でもなく、恵比寿が良かった」　
“Tokyo is the only city that can open a store outside of NY, because it's a special food city. I think the shop would stand out if in Ebisu. Not Roppongi or Marunouchi, Ebisu is a good position.”
アメリカと同じく、東京店でもオーナー一族の選別を経た肉が空輸され、提供されるということです。
As in the US, the meat selected by the owner's family is transported by plane and served at the store in Tokyo.
