EU、ヨーロッパ連合、の執行機関である欧州委員会は9日、パレスチナ支援を凍結すると発表しました。
EUはパレスチナへの最大の支援元です。
EUはすべての支援の支払いを即時停止し、総額6億9100万ユーロ相当の支援を見直すとしています。
EUが支援するプロジェクトは、NGOなどの現地パートナーによって実施されていて、パレスチナ自治区の住民にとって必要不可欠なサービスを提供してきたということです。
欧州委員会は、「イスラエルとその国民に対するテロと残虐行為の規模は、転換点だ」「通常通りの業務はあり得ない」としています。
