およそ90年前にフランス・パリから東京を目指しながら佐賀県で墜落した飛行機を復元し、東京まで飛ばす日仏共同プロジェクトのフランスのメンバーが来日しました。
The French members of the Japan-France joint project to recover the plane that crashed in Saga province while en route to Tokyo from Paris, France about 90 years ago and bring it to Tokyo have arrived in Japan.
1936年、パリ・東京間を100時間以内に飛行する懸賞レースに挑戦した飛行機がゴール目前の佐賀県で墜落しました。　
In 1936, a plane crashed in Saga Prefecture just before the finish line of a prize race to fly between Paris and Tokyo in less than 100 hours. 　
おととしから同じ型の飛行機を復元して、残りの佐賀ー東京間を飛ばすプロジェクトが始動しています。
A project to restore the same type of plane and fly it between Saga and Tokyo has been underway since the year before last.
「100時間で飛ぶという記録は、最後に達成できなかったというのを思いを遂げたいというジャピー家の方々の熱い思いをぜひ支援したい」　
"I would love to support the passion of the Japie family in fulfilling their desire to fly in 100 hours, a record that they were unable to achieve in the end."
会見には当時のフランス人パイロットの親族も参加し「100時間ではないが、100年以内にパリ・東京間をつなぐ飛行を実現させたい」などと話しました。
Relatives of the French pilot at the time also attended the press conference, and said, "It will not be 100 hours, but we hope to realize a flight connecting Paris and Tokyo within 100 years".
