AIで脳の画像を分析してギャンブル依存症かどうかが分かる世界初のシステムが開発されました。

東京医科歯科大学の高橋英彦主任教授らは、ギャンブル依存症の人と健康な人、合わせて161人の脳の画像をAIで分析したところ、
ギャンブルに依存している人にみられる特有のパターンを発見しました。
「機能的MRIで高速で撮影するとパラパラ漫画みたいな感じで、時系列で脳の血流が時間とともに微妙に変わっていく」
ギャンブル依存症の人は自分が依存しているという認識が乏しく、ますますはまっていく傾向にあることから、客観的な診断を目指し、このシステムを開発したということです。
高橋主任教授は健康な人と依存症の人の脳のパターンを数値化することで自分が依存症であると理解しやすくなり、治療へのモチベーションが高まるのではないかと話しています。
