新型コロナウイルスの感染が拡大している台湾を支援するため、日本政府が提供するアストラゼネカ製のワクチンを載せた飛行機がまもなく成田空港を出発します。
A plane carrying the AstraZeneca vaccine provided by the Japanese government will soon depart from Narita Airport to support Taiwan, where the new strain of corona virus is seriously infecting.
日本政府が提供するのは当面、公的な接種に使われない日本国内で製造されたアストラゼネカ社のワクチン124万回分で、今日午後には台湾に到着する予定です。　
In the current time, the Japanese Government will provide 1.24 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine that are not used for public vaccination, manufactured in Japan, and the vaccine is expected to arrive in Taiwan this afternoon.
台湾では感染が拡大するなか、ワクチンの確保が課題となっています。　
While the virus is spreading seriously in Taiwan, securing vaccine has become a matter of concern.
「台湾との重要なパートナーシップであったりとか、友情、こういったものも踏まえた今回の提供ということになります」　
"Taiwan is an important partner of Japan, this vaccine supply is based on the close relationship between the two countries."
茂木大臣は「東日本大震災の際に台湾の方々がいち早く多くの義援金を送ってくれた」と述べ、今回のワクチン支援の意義を強調しました。
Minister Mogi emphasized the significance of supporting this vaccine, he said, "The people of Taiwan were among the first ones to send many donations during the East Japan Earthquake."
