東京オリンピックの開幕まであと100日となるのに合わせ、IOC（国際オリンピック委員会）は「大会は確実に開催される」との声明を発表しました。
100 days are left until the Tokyo Olympics to be held, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) announced that "the Olympics will definitely be held."
「大会は確実に開催される。7月23日に大会は始まる」　
"The tournament will definitely be held. It will start on July 23."
IOCのコーツ調整委員長は東京オリンピックは予定通り開かれるとの見方を改めて示しました。　
The Chair of the IOC Coordinating Committee reiterated the notion that the Tokyo Olympics would be held as planned.
新型コロナウイルス対策は万全だとして、「大会は開催され、さらに、可能な限り最も安全な大会になる」と明言しました。　
With the new strains of corona virus that have been carefully prepared, he said, "The tournament will be held and will be the safest tournament as possible".
また、大会の意義として、人類がパンデミックに打ち勝ったと選手や日本国民などが示すことができるとの認識を示しました。
In addition, talking about the significance of the tournament, he expressed the awareness of the Japanese athletes' and people's actions to show that people have overcome the pandemic.
