ゼレンスキー大統領は14日、ロシア軍から奪還した北東部・ハルキウ州の交通の要衝「イジューム」を急きょ訪問し、戦闘で亡くなった兵士らに黙祷を捧げました。
また、「彼らは両親からもらった大切な命を解放のために犠牲にした真の英雄だ」と述べ、亡くなった兵士らをたたえました。
ロシア軍は3月から約半年間、イジュームを占領していましたが、ウクライナ軍に押される形で今月10日に撤退を表明し、数千人の兵士が退却しました。
ウクライナ軍はハルキウ州のロシア側支配地域をほぼ取り戻し、黒海に面した南部のヘルソン州でも領土を一部奪還するなど、攻勢を強めています。
