The mouse and the frog
陸に住むネズミがカエルと仲良しになりましたがこれが運のつきでした
Mouse and frog were good friends, but there came a serious life-and-death accident
というのもカエルには悪巧みがあったからです
because the frog harmed its friend
カエルはネズミの足と自分の足をひもで結び付けました
The frog tied the mouse's leg to its own leg
そうして初めは仲良く一緒に畑の麦を食べに行きました
First, they went out to eat wheat on the field together
それから沼の岸に近づきました
Then they went to the shore of the swamp
沼まで来るとカエルはネズミを水の底に引きずり込んで
When they reached the swamp, the frog pulled the mouse into the swamp
「ケロ、ケロ、ケ、ケ、ケ」
"Kello, Kello, Ke, Ke, Ke"
と歓声を上げながら水浴びをしました
it was cheering loudly when swimming
可愛そうなネズミは、さんざん水を飲んでおぼれ死んでしまいました
The poor mouse drowned and died
でも、足がカエルの足に結びつけられているので
But because its leg was tied to the frog's leg
カエルと一緒に浮いたり沈んだりしていました。
It finally sank with the frog .
それを１羽のトンビが見つけて、このネズミをさらっていきました
A hawk saw the mouse and then caught it
当然、ヒモで足がつながっているカエルも一緒にトンビのえじきになりました
Of course, the frog whose leg are tied to the mouse's leg also became prey to that hawk
悪い事をすると、自分もそのむくいを受ける事になるというお話しです
This story wants to tell people that if you do bad things, you will suffer the same consequence
