Tokyo Governor Koike held talks with Secretary-General Guterres at the United Nations headquarters in New York and proposed to attract some UN functions to Tokyo.
アメリカを訪問中の小池知事は24日、ニューヨークの国連本部でグテーレス事務総長と会談しました
During her visit to the United States, Governor Koike met with Secretary-General Guterres at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the 24th.
会談後、小池知事は記者団に対し「国連のさまざまな活動について東京でもいろいろなサポートができるということを伝えた」と述べ、東京に国連の一部機能を誘致したいと提案したことを明らかにしました
After the meeting, Governor Koike told reporters, I conveyed that Tokyo can provide various kinds of support for the United Nations activities, and revealed that she had proposed bringing some UN functions to Tokyo.
東京の安全性や、円安による外国からみた物価の相対的な低さなど「生活面のプラス」をアピールしたということです
