中国国営の新華社通信などによりますと北京郊外の山あいの地区、密雲では、先週23日から断続的に大雨が降っていて、1時間に80ミリ以上の猛烈な雨が降った時間帯もあります
According to China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency and others, in the mountainous area of Miyun on the outskirts of Beijing, intermittent heavy rain has been falling since the 23rd of last week, with periods when torrential rain of over 80 millimeters per hour was recorded.
この影響で密雲や周辺の地区では29日午前0時までに30人が死亡したということです

国営テレビの映像では河川が氾濫して土砂が崩れ、電柱が倒れている様子や、山あいの町が広い範囲で水につかり、建物から住民が救助隊に助け出される様子が確認できます
In footage from the state-run television, you can see rivers overflowing and causing landslides, utility poles knocked down, and a mountain town widely submerged in water, with residents being rescued from buildings by rescue teams.
また、被害が大きい地域では30か所余りで道路が損壊し、130以上の村で電気が行き渡らなくなっていて、これまでに8万人余りが避難しているということです
