2日午後7時半ごろ、静岡市駿河区の公民館で、自治会の役員会に参加していた人から「会合中に刃物を持った男が人を刺した」と警察に通報がありました。
Around 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd, someone who was attending a neighborhood association board meeting at a community center in Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City, called the police saying, A man with a knife stabbed someone during the meeting.
警察によりますと、突然、男が公民館に押し入り、静岡市駿河区中島の石上義之さん（78）の背中をサバイバルナイフのような刃物で刺したということです。
According to the police, a man suddenly barged into the community center and stabbed Mr. Yoshiyuki Ishigami 78 of Nakajima, Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City, in the back with a knife resembling a survival knife.
石上さんは病院に搬送されましたが、死亡しました。
Mr. Ishigami was taken to the hospital, but he passed away.
役員会には数十人が参加していて、刺した男をその場で取り押さえたということです。
Dozens of people were attending the board meeting, and the man who did the stabbing was apprehended on the spot.
刺した男は50代とみられ、けがをして病院に搬送されましたが、意識はあり命に別状はないということです。
The man who stabbed is believed to be in his 50s. He was injured and taken to the hospital, but he is conscious and his life is not in danger.
ほかにけが人はいませんでした。
There were no other injuries.
警察によりますと、サバイバルナイフのような刃物が複数残されていたということで、殺人事件として捜査するとともに、男の回復を待って詳しい経緯を調べることにしています。
According to the police, several knives resembling survival knives were left at the scene. They are investigating the case as a murder and plan to look into the details of the incident while waiting for the man to recover.
現場は東名高速道路静岡インターチェンジから南におよそ1。The site is located about 1 kilometer south of the Tomei Expressway Shizuoka Interchange.
