In response, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which shares borders with both countries, issued a statement on the 9th, saying that while it welcomes moves toward peace, it also expressed concern regarding the Trump route, stating, We are worried about the negative effects of foreign intervention undermining the safety and stability of the region.
