On the morning of the 10th, on the outbound lane of the Hanwa Expressway in Wakayama City, a kei car was driving in the wrong direction and had a head-on collision with another car, injuring six people, including two children.

10日朝7時前、
和歌山市の
阪和自動車道の
下り
線で
軽自動車が
逆走し、ワンボックスカーと
正面衝突しました。
According to the police and fire department, just before 7 a.m. on the 10th, a small car was driving the wrong way on the outbound lane of the Hanwa Expressway in Wakayama City and had a head-on collision with a van.

運転していた
50代の
男性と
同乗していた
80代の
女性、
またワンボックスカーに
乗っていた
30代の
男女と、
7歳と
5歳の
子どもの
合わせて
6人がけがをして
和歌山市内の
病院に
搬送されました。
In this accident, a man in his 50s who was driving the kei car, an elderly woman in her 80s who was riding with him, as well as a man and woman in their 30s and two children aged 7 and 5 who were in the van—a total of six people—were injured and taken to a hospital in Wakayama City.

可能性があると
見て
調べています。
The scene is near the Ono-yama Tunnel on the Hanwa Expressway, close to the border between Osaka and Wakayama prefectures. It is reported that the kei car was driving the wrong way on the outbound lane heading from Osaka toward Wakayama, and the police are investigating the possibility that the vehicle mistakenly entered the outbound lane.

阪和自動車道の
下り
線は
大阪の
泉南インターチェンジと
和歌山ジャンクションの
間で
一時通行止めとなりました。
Due to this accident, the outbound lanes of the Hanwa Expressway were temporarily closed between the Sennan Interchange in Osaka and the Wakayama Junction.
