方針です。
The Komeito Party, having lost seats in the recent House of Councillors election, plans to exchange opinions with local organizations and others to examine the causes of their defeat, and aims to compile reform proposals to restore the partys strength as early as next month.
先月行われた参議院選挙で公明党は、改選議席の14議席以上の確保を目標に掲げましたが、過去最少の8議席にとどまり、比例代表の得票数も521万票と前回・3年前の選挙から100万票近く減らしました。
In last months House of Councillors election, the Komeito Party set a goal of securing at least 14 seats up for re-election, but ended up with only 8 seats, the lowest ever. The number of votes they received in the proportional representation section was also 5.21 million, nearly one million fewer than in the previous election three years ago.
斉藤代表は「結果責任はすべて私にあるが、まずはしっかりと総括を行う」としています。
Representative Saito said, I take full responsibility for the results, but first, I will thoroughly review and summarize the situation.
これまでに党内からは、物価高対策などを中心に、連立を組む自民党に配慮し、党独自の政策の打ち出しが十分でなかったという意見が出ています。
So far, there have been opinions within the party that, mainly due to measures against rising prices and consideration for the Liberal Democratic Party with which they are in coalition, the party has not sufficiently presented its own independent policies.
また、党の支持層以外への広がりに課題があることや、組織が前面に立った運動が中心で候補者個人の活動が弱まっているという指摘が出ています。
There are also concerns that support is not expanding beyond the partys base, and that the campaign is mainly led by the organization, resulting in weaker activities by individual candidates.
そして、今月いっぱい、党幹部が全国各地で地方議員や党員と意見交換を行って、敗因を検証するとともに、来月にも党勢の回復に向けた改革案をまとめる方針です。
And, throughout this month, party executives will exchange opinions with local assembly members and party members across the country to examine the causes of the defeat, and they plan to compile reform proposals aimed at restoring the party’s strength as early as next month.
