20日午後7時20分ごろ、神戸市中央区磯辺通りにある9階建てのマンションで「エレベーターの中から女性の悲鳴が聞こえ、男が女性を羽交い締めにしている」と警察に通報がありました。
Around 7:20 p.m. on the 20th, police received a report that a womans scream could be heard from inside the elevator and a man was restraining her in a nine-story apartment building on Isobedori, Chuo Ward, Kobe City.
駆けつけた警察官が6階にあるエレベーターの前で血を流して倒れている女性を見つけ、女性は病院に搬送されましたが、およそ1時間後に死亡しました。
A police officer who rushed to the scene found a woman lying in front of the elevator on the sixth floor, bleeding. She was taken to the hospital, but died about an hour later.
警察によりますと、死亡したのはこのマンションに住む会社員の※片山恵さん（24）で、刃物のようなもので刺された傷があるということです。
According to the police, the deceased is Ms. Megumi Katayama 24, an office worker living in this apartment building, who was found with stab wounds apparently caused by a bladed object.
マンションの防犯カメラにはエントランスに1人で入った※片山さんに続いて入ってくる男が写っていて、事件のあと現場から逃走したということです。
The security camera in the apartment building captured footage of a man entering after Ms. Katayama, who entered the entrance alone, and it is reported that this man fled the scene after the incident.
エレベーターの中にも血の痕がありましたが、凶器は見つかっていません。

逃走した男は年齢が20代から30代くらいで、黒の半袖シャツと長ズボンを身につけていたということです。

警察は殺人事件として捜査本部を設置し、男の行方を捜査しています。
