Department stores have already begun their New Years osechi sales for next year, offering a variety of products to meet different needs, such as items with controlled prices amid ongoing high costs.
物価高対策 値ごろ感重視 「コスパおせち」
「そごう・西武」は、物価高が続く中、今回初めて、値ごろ感を重視した「コスパおせち」を企画しました。
Measures Against High Prices: Emphasis on Value for Money Cost-Performance Osechi Sogo & Seibu, in response to ongoing high prices, have planned for the first time a cost-performance osechi that emphasizes affordability.
4段で和洋中66種類の食材が入る4人前">人前の大きなおせちは、このデパートがメーカー側と直接やり取りして価格を抑え、従来の3段のおせちと同程度の2万3000円台としたほか、2段で100種類が入ったおせちも用意しました。
A large osechi for four people with four tiers containing 66 kinds of Japanese, Western, and Chinese ingredients is offered at around 23,000 yen, about the same as the traditional three-tiered osechi, thanks to the department store negotiating directly with the manufacturers to keep the price down. They also prepared a two-tiered osechi containing 100 different items.

「ソロ活おせち」や「食育おせち」も
「高島屋」はオーソドックスな食材が少量ずつ入っていて1人暮らしでも楽しめ価格も1万円以下と手ごろな「ソロ活おせち」や、予算や好みにあわせて食材を選択でき、1万3500円から購入できるおせち、さらに子供も楽しめるよう絵本で食材の由来を学びながら味わえる「食育おせち」などを販売しています。
Takashimaya offers “solo osechi” with orthodox ingredients in small portions, making it enjoyable and affordable for people living alone, with prices under 10,000 yen. They also sell osechi sets where you can choose ingredients according to your budget and preferences, starting from 13,500 yen, as well as “shokuiku osechi” for children, which allows them to learn about the origins of the ingredients through picture books while enjoying the food.
