A company employee from Shinjuku, Tokyo, Masashi Tanimoto 35, is suspected of fatally stabbing a 24-year-old female company employee with a knife inside an elevator in a condominium in Kobe City on August 20.

In the footage, a person closely resembling the suspect, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and black pants with a backpack, is shown jogging across the street at a spot without a crosswalk, dodging cars.

Immediately after that, a person believed to be a woman came out of the building accompanied by others and walked in the direction the suspect had gone.

And then, after the person was alone at an intersection a short distance away, someone who closely resembled the suspect appeared from around the corner, and was also captured on camera following them.

In the footage, you can see someone walking on a nearby sidewalk while making a gesture as if holding a cell phone to their ear, as well as crouching down by the side of the road on the evening of the 19th of this month.

According to court records, the suspect entered the apartment building where the victimized woman lived before the auto-lock door closed, got into the elevator with her, filmed videos, and allegedly stalked her for about five months.
